Links of the Week 24.3.12
Mar 24
A little less frantic this week, but I’m sure it’s the lull before the storm.
1. Why are people so bloody weird about erotica? Donna George Storey‘s illuminating piece, The Politics of Arousal, gets straight to the heart of the matter. This week’s absolute Must Read.
2. Angela Caperton ponders getting the ratio of sex scenes to plot right – can erotica ever have too much sex?
3. I’m deeply unartistic but always fascinated to read about the creative processes involved in producing visual material. K D Grace‘s blog guest, Fuchsia Ayling, offered some wonderful insights.
4. The 50 Shades affair rumbles on. I haven’t read it, so can’t comment on quality, but this Goodreads review, purporting to be by Ed Miliband, is so very entertaining that it has to be read.
5. Finally, my little sweetener of the week – did you know that Madelynne Ellis was posting a free serial at her blog? Well, she is – usually on a Sunday. Come and join in all the fun of Lord Merville’s Whore.
